The Norwegian L. lemmus periodically undergoes mass migrations, during which they frequently attempt to cross large bodies of water. Our young hero, cautious by nature, always weighing consequences, becomes increasing apprehensive as the rest of the lemmings ready themselves to leap into the sea. Beautifully written story with marvellous illustrations by Joan Sadin. A book for young and old alike. Fine copy.
