C L Smith has enjoyed creating short stories and writing books for his three daughters since they were just small children. Fairy-tale worlds of giants and witches and wolves and girls made of silver. But now that they have grown and become teenagers they no longer believe in fairy tales and spend their time staring blankly in to their i-phones and becoming more and more detached from the real world. C L Smith wanted to create a different world for his daughters.  A world without computers and phones and social media, nor a world of make believe and fantasy in a faraway galaxy. But a world that exists, right now, right here, on this planet. A world where wild and ferocious animals roam the lands and where terrible men with terrible machines of war destroy villages and leave destruction behind them. A world that is also beautiful and amazing and awe inspiring. Where just a teenage girl and her young friends can overcome adversity against all the odds and take on monsters with just their spears in their hands and courage in their hearts.
