The Leopard and the Mouse

This is the story of a meeting between two very different animals - a leopard and a mouse. Imagine for a moment that you are a very hungry mouse and you happen to find some food. Having just put a small piece of meat into your mouth, you are suddenly staring at the front legs of a giant creature. This is the situation in which Thomas finds himself one sunny day. He has every reason to be fearful, but this is a mouse who feels he can trust his inner knowing. This is a mouse who believes he will find all that he needs. This is a mouse who is not afraid to be open to all life has to offer. And what about the owner of the giant legs? She is a huge and beautiful leopard. She has never seen a mouse before and she certainly has never seen one eating her dinner. What develops from this chance encounter is not what you might think. Sasha the leopard is a strong and powerful animal. She understands that she has a choice about what to do. She can help or hurt the tiny mouse. Is Thomas in danger, or will he discover that what he believes really comes true?

Marilyn was born and lived most of her life in London, England. She now lives in the United States and is a mother and grandma. As a Training and Development Manager, Marilyn designed and wrote training programs in the business world, during her career with a major bank. She now writes for pleasure, only recently having transitioned to writing for children. Marilyn's second children's book, Arms Out...Kiano Sees The World was published in August, 2015.
