Synopsis
"Less is more, more or less." is a new collection of poems from Oklahoma Poet Laureate, Nathan Brown. The book is an exploration of what can be housed in fewer words, a study in brevity, with no poem longer than a single 5 X 7 page.
About the Author
Nathan Brown is an author, songwriter, and award-winning poet from Wimberley, Texas. Though, he did serve as Poet Laureate of Oklahoma for 2013/14. He holds a PhD in English and Journalism but mostly travels now, performing readings and concerts, as well as leading workshops and speaking on the creative process and creative writing.
Nathan has published eleven previous books. His anthology Oklahoma Poems, and Their Poets, was a finalist for the 2015 Oklahoma Book Award with proceeds going to the Oklahoma Humanities Council. Karma Crisis: New and Selected Poems was a finalist for the 2013 Paterson Poetry Prize and the 2013 Oklahoma Book Award. His earlier book, Two Tables Over, won the 2009 Oklahoma Book Award. He has two Pushcart Prize nominations. And his CD of all-original songs, Gypsy Moon, came out in 2011.
