The Letter

In "The Letter," we meet Johnny, an eight-year-old grappling with a poignant Mother's Day assignment: to write a letter to his mother who died giving birth to him. Filled with anger and heartache, Johnny struggles to find the words. His kind teacher, Ms. Peepers, gently guides him through his swirling emotions. With each word he writes, Johnny’s initial resistance softens, leading to an unexpected and healing discovery. The letter doesn't just reach across the classroom—it reaches beyond the veil, connecting Johnny to his mother's loving spirit. This heartfelt tale beautifully illustrates how love endures beyond separation, and how opening our hearts can lead to healing and unexpected conversations. Rhymed to soothe and engage, "The Letter" resonates with both children and adults, offering a tender reflection on loss, love, and the unseen threads that connect us all.
