Victualling Office, 24 December 1803. Rear-Admiral Sir Charles Cunningham (1755-1834). In 1779 he was for a short time first lieutenant of the Hinchinbroke with Captain Horatio Nelson. He fought in the East Indies, and in the Mediterranean on the outbreak of war in 1793. In 1797, as Captain of the Clyde, he was caught up in the mutiny at the Nore. The other signatures on this letter include that of William Boscawen (1752-1811), lawyer, author and translator.
