Scarce and fascinating document from the Treasury Department during the presidency of Andrew Jackson regarding claims of property damages or theft by Indians. Contains columns of evidence where the citizen's claimed damages and the evidence would be reviewed, along with a column for the statements of the auditor Peter Hagner. 117 pages. no covers. Title page has some tearing and wrinkling at the bottom edge with no loss of text. Pages toned as expected from a 19th century document.
