Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles on red labels, 5 raised bands dividing 6 compartments, 5 of which have a gilt decoration and gilt volume numbers, year at the base. Joints good condition sound. Corners good condition. Boards good condition half leather and marbled boards. Page edges good condition top edges slightly darkened, all coloured. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition sound. Paste downs good condition slightly tanned End papers good condition slightly tanned. Title good condition tanned and foxed in both volumes, there is a small part missing from the base of the title page of Vol. II, both title pages hold the signature of R.Govett.
