The Letters of Jonathan Netanyahu: The Commander of the Entebbe Rescue Force

Millions know the story of Entebbe. Few have heard Jonathan Netanyahu's own voice.

Long before he became the commander of the legendary Entebbe rescue mission, Yoni Netanyahu was a young man grappling with questions of duty, family, friendship, love, and responsibility.

Collected over thirteen years, these remarkable letters trace Yoni's journey from his school days in America to his service in Israel's most elite military units and ultimately to the operation at Entebbe that would make him a symbol of courage around the world.

Written with honesty and remarkable insight, the letters offer an intimate portrait of the man behind the legend: a devoted brother and friend, a thoughtful leader, and a passionate defender of the values he believed were worth fighting for.

More than a military biography, The Letters of Jonathan Netanyahu is a rare and moving record of character, sacrifice, and leadership in a turbulent age.
