Brown gilt ruled leather boards, ornately decorated spine, missing one label, small split in cloth top edge of spine. 286 pp plus contents. Slight foxing on blank pages, contents tight, and clean. NOT an ex-lib. Bolingbroke's political philosophy influenced the thinking of early American figures such as John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison and their beliefs re "republicanism.".
