About this Item

A very good 3-volume hardback set without dust jackets, published between 1900 and 1912 (all 3 volumes are firsts of this edition). Maroon cloth with gilt title lettering to spines. All 3 volumes have some foxing to their opening and closing pages (including the half title and title pages), and volume 1 has a tiny injury to the maroon cloth on the spine (just below the gilt 'T' of 'Thomas'. The opening volume also has a small, light blemish on the bottom edge, and some creasing to the 2 bottom outer corners. There is a crease to the bottom right-hand corner of the upper cover of the final volume. Overall, a very good hardback set, but with some foxing at the beginning and end of all 3 volumes. The hinges of all 3 volumes are sound and their main contents are clean.
