BOUND WITH: Reflections on Mr. Varillas's History of the Revolutions that have happened in Europe in matters of Religion. G. Burnet. Amsterdam: 1686. 12mo. 96 pp. [This title corresponding to R173327]. Collation: a12, b4, A-M12 N6, O8, A-D12. In a contemporary English blind-tooled, unlettered calf. Re-backed with spine piece, end-bands and all original blanks preserved. New paper label. An interesting copy with some unique features that the B.L. and University of California, Riverside have been unable to resolve. No other copy of R25313 has been found with the addition of quire O8 and appendix. It may also be the case that the Reflections were available separately as well as being published as part of Some letters , but this has not been verified one way or the other. We therefore seem to have a copy with points from various of the Rotterdam editions, but printed on the same stock throughout and with continuous pagination. Front blanks with contemporary manuscript additions. A fine volume in good order throughout.
