Reverse side of bamboo slats with poem in Chinese script is lovely grey brocade. Purchased in China in 1986-87. Poem is The Lament (Li Sao). Chu Chi . The full translation is in Arthur Wally s The Songs of The South. The poem is still taught in Middle School in China.
