Jia Tina Du is a Lecturer in the Library and Information Management Program located in the School of Information Technology and Mathematical Sciences at the University of South Australia, Australia. She was 2010 Highly Commended Award Winner of the prestigious International Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards in the Information Science Category for her Ph.D. thesis on Web users multi-tasking search behaviour. She has produced a consistent stream of high-quality publications since completing her Ph.D. Her research interests are in interactive/cognitive information retrieval, Web research, multitasking search, and human information behaviour. Her research projects have been funded by the Australian Government and industries including .au Domain Administration LTD (.auDA) Foundation.
