In this translation to Spanish of the Sefer Yetzirah, or “Book of Creation,” Hebrew scholar Manuel Forcano seeks to make the ancient Jewish text—the oldest extant writing on Jewish esotericism in Hebrew—accessible to a new generation of readers. About the Author

Manuel Forcano is a poet and a translator who has translated a number of works from Arabic, English, French, and Hebrew to Catalan. Having received a doctorate in Semitic philology, he pursued Hebrew studies in Israel and Arabic studies in Egypt and Syria before becoming a professor of Hebrew and Aramaic at the University of Barcelona.
