The Lies We Keep

Some lies are buried in the woods.

When Heidi discovers her husband Steven's affair, she leaves—determined never to look back. But Steven begs her to attend marriage counseling, promising to finally reveal why he betrayed her. Against her better judgment, Heidi agrees.

Weeks later, trying to reconnect, they set out on an autumn hike through the Pennsylvania woods. But halfway down the trail, Steven is injured, and Heidi runs for help. When she returns with search and rescue, her husband is dead—shot in the chest.

Detective Harrison is assigned the case, but the more he investigates, the darker the picture becomes. Steven wasn't just unfaithful. He was entangled in fraud, embezzlement, and dangerous alliances—and someone was willing to kill to keep their secrets hidden.

As the truth unravels, Heidi realizes the lies didn't end with Steven. Someone close to her knows far more than they're saying… and they may be willing to silence her next.
