Synopsis
"Life After College: What to Expect and How to Succeed in Your Career" offers tremendous insight to college graduates entering the working world that simply isn't taught in classrooms. Key book topics include: Career decisions, networking, time management, organization skills, impressing your boss, continuous personal development, graduate school options, and strategic career planning. Perhaps the most valuable portions of the book are critical mistakes young professionals must avoid, such as dealing with office politics, professionalism and maturity, drugs/alcohol in the workplace, ethics, etiquette, dating in the workplace, and sexual harassment. The book intends to prepare young professionals for their careers in a variety of areas, with each chapter also offering recommended resources on that specific area.
