Reviews for Life Among Seahorses
"Life Among Seahorses" challenges the reader to face our societal demons and deconstruct them, through the relationship of Yi, Ling and a dystopian future, reflective of our own."
"Like the best of science fiction, this book takes us out of our own time and place, and this allows us to perceive our own bias and assumptions in a new light."
2176 -The People’s Republic of Central China: A land without biological women.
The government has mandated sex changes for half of the country’s males and created strict gender roles to ensure that traditional family dynamics are maintained throughout the country.
When Yi and his “wife” Ling discover the first biological female in over a few decades, their lives are suddenly changed as they navigate through the nuances of gender dynamics in their society and culture.
