Who would have thought Beath and her friends would ever be sad to say goodbye to school? But when it's been your home away from home since the Zombie RiZing, long hours in the science lab suddenly don't seem so bad. Eventually, however, as with all of history's greatest battles*, survival comes down to food, or more accurately the lack of it, which forces the teenage survivors and their sole teacher to head out into the wider world. In theory, it's a pretty easy journey down the road to the city's shopping centre.
