Abby Kent had the perfect life—until she realized it wasn’t hers. Invisible. Forgotten. And when she finally walked out the door, she didn’t run—she stepped into the unknown to find the woman she was meant to be.

Abby had spent her life being the woman everyone needed—the devoted wife, the selfless mother, the dedicated best friend—only to find herself slipping into the quiet space where women go when they are no longer young, no longer needed, no longer seen.

Abby wasn’t sure if it was proper for a grown woman to run away. But some moments in life break you, leaving you staring at the pieces, uncertain who you’ve become—making you do things you never imagined.

Standing on the precipice of life, Abby jumps—landing in a quiet Scottish town where no one knows who she used to be. There, a group of strangers takes her in, reminding her of her worth, and helping her find something more—herself. A woman who still longs, still dreams, still aches to be wanted.

And with that awakening comes something even more dangerous: a man who truly sees her.

Thom is steady where she is uncertain, and quiet where she is questioning. But more than that, he reminds her what it feels like to dream again and to embrace life on her terms.

But awakenings don’t come without demons.

When her husband, Marcus, arrives at her door, Abby must face the life she left behind and find the courage to create one that is truly hers.
