Curt Beavers decided early in his career that the price was too high. Making a living in a job he had no passion for was leaving him stressed, unsatisfied, and unfulfilled. There had to be a better way. Curt and his wife, Lori, set out to do more than just make a living. They made a life together as a newly married couple a life filled with family and friends, new relationships around the world, and opportunities to serve.
Make a Life, Not Just a Living tells how Curt stepped off the treadmill of trading hours for dollars and opened opportunities for himself and thousands of others around the world to make a life of good health, business success, time freedom, and true joy.
Life is a mission. Each of us has been given particular skills, assets, opportunities, and relationships to fulfill that mission. We feel a unique passion for certain people or to respond to particular opportunities.
When we live in the intersection of our skills, our passion and purpose, and the world s need, then we are making a life, not just a living.
Make a Life, Not Just a Living offers inspiration to pursue your passion and begin to make a life, not just a living.

About the Author
Curt has cherished his role as a husband and father to their now-grown children, Trey, Hope, and Zach. While he was writing this book, Curt and Lori became grandparents for the first time. Reaching the next generation of his family, his business, and his church is Curt s passion inspiring others to discover their own purpose, then pursue it with zeal. With his friend Tommy Newberry, he wrote I Call Shotgun, a series of letters on life to their sons.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Curt is a southern boy at heart, enjoying hunting and fishing, and also snow skiing, golf, and tennis. He loves the outdoors and the opportunity to acknowledge God as Creator.
Curt runs almost every day, a discipline that energizes him. He has a generous heart of hospitality, introducing friends to friends at every opportunity. This, he believes, is the greatest investment of relational capital.
And Curt pursues God in morning quiet time and throughout the day, attempting to live out Psalm 42:1: As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.
Curt would love to connect and help you on your journey to create the life you desire.

Store description
With 3 stores less than 1 hour outside the DC/Metropolitan area (1 in Gaithersburg, 1 in Frederick and 1 in Hagerstown, MD), we have the largest selection of books in the tri-state area. Wonder Book and Video has been in business since 1980 and online since 1997. We have over 1 Million books for sale on our website and another 1 Million books for sale in our 3 locations. Items on Abe are not necessarily in stock at our retail locations. Please do not call the stores to place orders for Abe Books sales. We have a very active online inventory and as such, we can receive multiple orders for the same item. We fill those orders on a first come first serve basis, but will refund promptly any items that are out of stock. Since 1980 it has always been about the books. ALL kinds of books from 95 cent children's paperbacks to five figure rare and collectibles. A merging of the old and new is where we started, and it is where we are today. Our retail stores have always been places where a reader can rush in looking for a title needed for a term paper that is due the next day, or where bibliophiles can get lost "in the stacks" for as long as they wish. In 2002 USAToday recognized us as "1 of 10 Great Old Bookstores", and we have been featured in numerous other newspaper and TV stories including Washington Post and CSpan. Members ABAA, ILAB.…
