This publisher gives no print dates. Likely mid 1880's with the Alta Edition cover. Author stated is" David Crockett". But likely Ellis S.Edwards. Deeply embossed Victorian age covers . Title on a gilt banner and figure of Davy Crockett with his rifle on the front cover. Decoration embossed in blind on back cover. Corners are bumped and spine caps softened with slight fraying. The first signature is holding by two strings, but the six string binding is tight. Endpapers coated brown. Previous owner name on the page after the ffe and on the top margin of page 46 in pencil. Otherwise pages are age-toned, clean, smooth and unmarked. Illustrated in black and white including illustration titled" Death of Colonel Crockett". 405 pages. Seller Inventory # ABE-1708095528158
