Life - You're Doing It Wrong: Why People Don't Get Better Results from Self-Improvement... and What to Do about It

What if, in humanity's eternal quest for happiness, we were only repeating the same old mistakes? Life: You're Doing It Wrong is an inquiry into the basic notions of self-improvement to show why we don't get better results for our efforts. In this book, Dr Manis backs up his insights and conclusions with cutting edge psychology, ancient wisdom, and even New Age spirituality, to chart a new path that offers a natural solution to suffering anyone can follow. Life: You're Doing It Wrong presents the latest research to prove that positive thinking often doesn't work for the people who need it the most. Most other methods also fall short. BUT... is there is a another way? Dr. Robert Manis looks at the whole array of self-help options and says YES!

Dr. Robert Manis is currently Professor of Human Behavior at the College of Southern Nevada. Dr. Manis has published three books: The Marriage and Family Workbook (Allyn and Bacon, 2000), Challenge to Society (Pearson, 2001) and The Social Reality, (Sage/Hall Communications, 2005).
