Copyright date 1836, later edition, first printing. Two volumes, leather bound hardcovers, with gilt lettering on the spine, six raised bands. All page edges are marbled, inside covers front and back are also marbled. Vol. Two states 2nd edition, has a photo of John Marshall. Shelf wear to the edges and to the head and toe of the spines, with wear along the edges, previous owners name written on the inside posts flyleaf, Charles Poole August 1838 on both volumes also to ex libris labels on the inside front cover both volumes. No Dust Jacket. Text amazingly remains quite bright and clean, binding's are secure.
