Life Must Go On

While growing up in Hong Kong, Peter Cheung did not utter a word until he was two years old. After he suddenly began talking nonstop, no one knew that one day, Peter would sing professionally on stages worldwide, attain a doctoral degree, and experience the tragic loss of a newborn son. In a candid retelling of his experiences, Peter shares insights into his extraordinary life as he embraced joys and successes and faced unexpected challenges and difficulties that inspired him to live by the mantra, life must go on. While providing a glimpse into his childhood in Hong Kong where his love of music first developed, Peter reveals how he overcame his initial insecurities about his voice after joining a church choir and how he and his brother, Andrew, entered and won a singing competition—a decision that would eventually propel them into successful careers in the entertainment industry. As life led him to experience brushes with death and the unbearable loss of a newborn son, Peter discloses how he learned to never give up, rely on his faith to persevere, and live every day to the fullest. Life Must Go On is the inspiring memoir of an entertainment industry professional as he reflects on his personal experiences and challenges, and reminds others of the fragility of life. “Weaving an unlikely journey of musical performance with the soul-stirring details of personal heartache, Peter tells his story in a beautiful and cozy way.
