418 pages. Binding is pulled in many places leaving gaps at spine - needs tightening. Plain boards, black spine with gilt titles, says 'Part I' on spine, but not to title page and looks to be a volume that stands by itself.darkening to boards due to much use, wear to spine-ends & corners, bottom 2cm spine end fabric missing.Dark smudges to front eng-papers, some darkening to rear, both inscribed "Prestwick Union Workhouse,Crumpshall", so this book has a history. Undated - looks mid/late Victorian. Light finger marks to some pages of text, generally quite clean. Excellent small b/w ilustrations. A worn but interesting little book - the only one of its type on internet at date of input.
