Life As We Know It: Poems, Volume I, 2001-2026. 2nd Edition

What does a life add up to, seen all at once?

Life As We Know It gathers more than two decades of poems into a single wide-ranging collection — an overview volume drawing together shorter poems and excerpts from several key long-form works, including both Tetralogies, "Demons," "Qaddish," and a sequence of fifteen sonnets. Moving between nature, love, death, faith, and civilization, it traces what it means to live, to love, to suffer, and to keep searching for meaning in an uncertain world.

This expanded second edition adds a full appendix, additional poems, and a revised introduction, offering both newcomers and longtime readers a single entry point into a poetic project spanning more than three decades.

For readers who enjoy poetry that is intellectually curious, emotionally resonant, and unafraid to ask life's biggest questions.
