About the Author

David Engelstad and Catherine Malotky have been partners in life and ministry for twenty years. Both ordained pastors of the ELCA, they have served congregations in inner city and rural Minnesota, and are currently called to serve in non-congregational settings. David works in long-term care as a chaplain, and Catherine works in communications for the ELCA's Board of Pensions. David is a certified spiritual director, and Catherine writes, speaks, and leads retreats for local and national expressions of the church.

They are also delighted to serve as parents to two adolescent daughters plus a pair of Siberian Huskies, two cats, and a goldfish or two. They make their home in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.
