Good. 9 isuues of Life Magazine from 1944 (some relatively scarce), complete set from July and August 1944: July 3rd (7/3/44 - GIs Back From Battle / Buy War Bonds), July 10th (7/10/44 - Admiral Chester Nimitz), July 17th (7/17/44 - Peasant Clothes Fashion / Anne Scott), July 24th (7/24/44 - Jennifer Jones); July 31st (7/31/44 - Russian General(s) / Russia's General(s)); August 7th (8/7/44 - Geraldine Fitzgerald), August 14th (8/14/44 - GI in Normandy), August 21st (8/21/44 - Landing Alligator Tractors), August 28th (8/28/44 - Pedal Pushers Fashion / Anne Scott). July 3rd, August14th, and August 21st issues appears somewhat more scarce than others included here. Bound together by library (ex-library copies) in white/green binding, taped into binding in interior. Light to moderate signs of wear, soiling, and age tanning to exterior binding, general wear and signs of use on individual magazine covers, 'North Peralta College Library' stamped on front board, 'Oakland City College Library' and 'Library Use Only' stamped on interior of front board, binding solid but cocked, some interior pages are creased/torn from general use, but interiors largely clean and unmarked. Some issues have library stamps ('North Peralta College Library' and/or 'Oakland City College Library,' etc.) on covers. August 14th issue cover has more significant damage than others (blemishes and tears near bottom edge and in 'LIFE' logo). Clearly well read, but nice ex-library copies and a nice set.
