467 pages (complete). A heroic copy. Volume II of three only. The boards are very worn, marked, weathered all about. The spine has been repaired with a leathered strip. The boards are stoically steady and sure. The marbled end papers. The contents are aged. The papertrims are much marked, although in the most characterful way. The contents have tanning, foxing throughout. Despite these drawbacks the contents are clean, clear, benign, placid, certain, bold, pleasingly antique. fk.
