The Life of Peter and His Teachings: The Making of a Disciple

This book is about Jesus Christ making disciples, and in particular Simon, a Galilean fisherman whom He named Peter. The Master called Peter to be a fisher of men—the first Christian evangelist. Amazingly, He entrusted the keys of the kingdom of heaven to one of the most colorful, intriguing and fascinating characters of the Bible. Simon Peter was eager, energetic, charming, bold, forthright, reckless, impulsive, unstable, fickle, weak, rash, wavering and cowardly with foot and mouth disease—a paradox of inconsistency until he received God’s gift of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. In the three parts of this book, the author unfolds the making of a disciple: 1. Peter made a disciple by Christ through action-packed events. 2. Peter making disciples through powerful sermons and speeches. 3. Peter instructing disciples through two letters to prepare their minds for action.
