Tall Hardback, approx 14 x 9 inches. Quarter bound leather binding to spine and corners, marbled paper boards. Gilt lettering and raised banding to spine. Red speckled page edges, Plain endpapers. In very good condition. Corners bumped and chipped, edges rubbed. Spine professionaly repaired with later leather, and new endpapers. Original owners bookplate has been kept at front ?Hugo Meynell Esq.? Main title page darkened and foxed with small chip to bottom edge. Some occasional mild foxing to pages, with some minor handling marks, spots and minor darkening to pages. Else a very good clean and tight copy. Rare. xvii + xxiv + 484pp. Illustrated with one B&W engraved vignette at top of dedication page.
