I was born in a rich Muslim family in India in 1930 and got Koranic education at home until the age of nine. Recently I retired from NASA as a Chief Scientist. How did it happen, it is a long story full of suspense and adventure and that is what this book is all about.

About the Author

Dr. Ichtiaque Rasool, is a former Chief Scientist for Global Change at NASA and now an Independent Scholar in the area of Remote Sensing of parameters related to Carbon and Water Cycle Research. Until 2001 he also occupied the position of Senior Research Scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory/Caltech, Pasadena, Ca. and of Visiting Professor at the Complex Systems Research Center of the University of New Hampshire. From 1990 to 1997, he directed the IGBP-DIS program from University of Paris, France. Dr Rasool has received a number of awards from NASA, including the highest scientific award, the medal for Exceptional Scientific Achievement in 1974. He received the William T. Pecora Award in 2002 " For outstanding and sustained International leadership in advancing remote sensing as a fundamental element in Earth System Science." Dr Rasool was born in India in 1930. He earned his Doctorat in Atmospheric Sciences in 1956 at the University of Paris. In 1970, he became a U.S. citizen and currently lives in Paris, France.
