Life Without: A Righteous Man Can Fall Seven Times and Still Rise

One Thanksgiving night changed Steven Varnado’s life forever.

In Life Without: A Righteous Man Can Fall Seven Times and Still Rise, Steven shares the raw and redemptive story of a man shaped by fatherlessness, broken choices, toxic love, street life, prison walls, and an unwavering belief in God. From a childhood marked by divorce and struggle to a young adulthood filled with reckless decisions, Steven’s path led him into a tragic confrontation that ended in death, capital murder charges, and multiple life sentences without the possibility of parole.

But prison was not the end of his story.

Behind bars, Steven battled despair, violence, injustice, and the weight of his past while clinging to faith, family, and the belief that God still had a purpose for his life. Through appeal, retrial, and years of waiting, he fought to reclaim not only his freedom, but his identity.

This is more than a prison story—it is a testimony of mercy, endurance, and rising again when the world has counted you out.
