Stated first Harper Torchbook edition. Daunting softcover tome blessed with styish trappings and charming illustrations, both well-cared-for over the years. Usual shelfwear -- rubbing of front and back cover, bumping of spine and back cover, blunting of corners -- isn't nearly as notable as the lush, white pages or taut bindings within. Very good condition. See photos.

These volumes represent the cream of my aunt's voluminous collection, which includes signed first editions from a friend's defunct Lincoln City store, antiquarian tomes a Reed professor bequeathed decades ago, and the art & design section of downtown Portland's long-lamented NorWester Bookshop. Given spatial constraints, I've little choice but to liquidate the inventory she spent a lifetime accumulating, but my dilemma opens opportunities for the right consumer. All items are subject to prior sale. We guarantee the condition of every book as it's shown or described on the Abebooks web sites. Prices on some items can be negotiated via email. Shipping will be through US Postal Service at least expensive and safest rates, unless purchaser asks otherwise. Additional photos can be sent as requested.
