Item description from seller

First edition in near fine condition in a near fine dust jacket. Light blue green boards with a darker green spine and printing on the cover and front panel of the jacket. Gilt printing on the spine. Bright, unmarked, firm and square with little or no wear evident on either the book or the jacket. Some fading to the spine edge of the jacket. Nantucket Island, a tiny island off of the southern coast of Cape Cod, has long been the home of seafaring peoples and fishermen, though surrounded by dangerous shoals. There have been numerous shipwrecks, and ships in trouble over the years, and a great need for life saving ingenuity. These are some of the exciting tales of rescue and heroism. 295 pp. History, Massachusetts, Nantucket Island, Lighthouses, Lifesaving, Nautical, Seafaring, Heroism. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
