Life Skills Programme for Student-Teachers

According to the World Health Report,1991, the youth has been facing health related problems. They had been either mentally or physically ill. To overcome these problems World Health Organization (WHO) had given Life Skills concept in 1997 and identified Ten core Life Skills by focusing adolescent group. With a view to develop the Life Skills, WHO had suggested experiential learning model. Many countries and Non government organizations have initiated to provide Life Skills Education at different levels of education. In order to provide Life Skills Education at School Level, the teachers need to be trained adequately for enabling them to develop the Life Skills of their students.This book contains detailed research work of Author, which mainly consists of identified components of Life Skills, Life Skills Programme for B. Ed. students and their status on Life Skills. These Life Skills cover all aspects of an individual life and these could be enhanced at any stage of life. This book is useful to school teachers, pre-service teacher training institutions, youth development organization and human resource trainers at corporate sectors.
