132 pages, frontis, illustrations. #340 of 500 numbered copies, wear to edges, upper two corners exposed. Reprint of the very rare first edition in which on 50 copies were printed. Graff 3314, Howes P469, Ponting was prominent in the western cattle trade from 1840 to 1900, in 1854 he took Texas longhorns to New York. Herd 1815, This book tells of one of the first cattle drives north from Texas.
