The Life of Victory

Alan Redpath (1907 - 1989) was well known as a Bible teacher and preacher. He ministered around the world but particularly in the congregations at Duke Street, Richmond, Charlotte Chapel, Edinburgh and Moody Church, Chicago. Upon his premature retirement from the pastorate, due to ill health, he commenced a 20 year worldwide itinerant ministry and lectured at Capernwray Hall. Alan was much sought after for advice by church leaders and up to his death he continued to exert an effective influence on the church from the little bungalow built for him and his wife in the grounds of Capernwray Hall. Many of Alan's sermons ended up in print due to the wisdom they contained and so it was a natural conclusion that these should be edited into a daily devotional that would help people grow in the faith. Alan's wife, Marjorie, took up the task and has produced a gem of a daily devotional based on published and unpublished writings by her late husband. Once you start 'The Life of Victory' you will find yourself looking forward to putting time aside each day to meditate on what Alan has to say about how your life can be a place of blessing from God and to others.

"I count it as a great privilege to be identified with any of Alan's works. I know better than most that though dead, Alan Redpath still speaks. May a new generation profit as did the past, by the words of grace and wisdom that flow from his pen." (Robert Amess, Chairman of Evangelical Alliance, past minister of Duke Street Baptist Church.)

"His spoken and written ministry challenged thousands on every continent to a deeper walk with God. Now in one volume, a year long diet of daily snippets of Alan Redpath's ministry will encourage, challenge and stimulate you to know God better, and live in the victory made possible through his son." (Charles Price ~ Senior Pastor, The Peoples Church, Toronto, Canada)

"The Life of Victory is vintage Redpath. Alan's heartbeat for evangelism and love for the lord comes through in the daily readings. A year with Redpath would do any Christian good." (Tony Sargent ~ Principal Emeritus, International Christian College, Glasgow)

"His ministry among us was dynamic and you can get some of it in this great book!" (George Verwer ~ Founder and Former International Director, Operation Mobilisation, Kent, England)
