Quarto (10-1/2" x 8-1/2"). recent quarter cloth over paper-covered boards, printed paper title label to spine, endpapers renewed. Some soiling to boards, light fading to spine. Moderate toning to interior, light browning and foxing in places, faint dampstaining and small chips to top-edges of a few leaves, offsetting from plates. $750. * Only edition. This was the first biography of Lord Mansfield and the only one by a contemporary. Holliday, a barrister of Lincoln's Inn was an associate and admirer of Mansfield.
