Life's Interruptions, Good's Opportunities: Lessons from the Good Samaritan

A man with a larger-than-life humanitarian spirit, Larry Jones started Feed The Children twenty-two years ago. A nonprofit organization, Feed The Children offers help to those in need, and its efforts are well-known across the country and around the world. In Life's Interruptions-God's Opportunities, Larry shares the encounter he had with an impoverished boy in Haiti, which permanently changed Larry's heart. Weaving the parable of the Good Samaritan throughout the book, Larry explains that those "irritating" interruptions in our lives are actually opportunities that God places before us to lend a helping hand. After all, he reminds us, most of Jesus' miracles were performed when Jesus was interrupted. Filled with inspirational stories of people who help others and of those who have received help, this book gives a straightforward "call to action." Photographs from Feed the Children and quotes from celebrities and other famous people are included.
