About the Author

Peter Hermon was educated at Nottingham High School where he won a scholarship to St John's College Oxford. At Oxford he gained first class honours in mathematics and won a prize for the best result in the whole university. He was also elected to a Research Scholarship at Merton College Oxford. Peter is the author of the two volume 'Hill-walking in Wales', the definitive guide to climbing the one hundred highest mountain in Wales, and co-author of 'LEO: the incredible story of the world's first business computer', published in London, New York and Hong Kong. In retirement he has preached widely on behalf of the Association for the Propagation of the Faith, having been authorized both by the late Cardinal Basil Hume and the Bishop of Portsmouth. He is married with four children and lives in Surrey.
