The author studied the work of C. S. Lewis for two years at the U. of Redlands, an independent honors project that earned her a degree in English, magna cum laude, in 1956. During that time she was able to meet Lewis in person. She has written extensively on Lewis' writings, including "C. S. Lewis: Mere Christian."
