A presumed salesman catalog to take to customers (or leave on the counter). The illustrated items are on numbered pages, but are not contiguous. It was not uncommon for catalogs of this type to have discontinued items removed, and new ones added. For instance, the item marked page 3 is item number 597: Semi-indirect Pendant - Three lights. The following page is marked 3A and is a beautifully colored example of their No. 518: Dome-2 lights. As such, it is a "living document" of what is available (sans pages given to customers for purchase decisions no doubt). A quick look through OCLC with the firm name "J. B.Colt Company" shows a variety of paginations, single pages, etc. Title page marked 3-7-22 along with other presumed printing information hence our dating to 1922. No copies online or in OCLC as of this writing searching for the front-matter title "COLT Carbide Gas Generators".
