Aaron Christensen was born and raised at Seattle, Washington. He grew up with three brothers and many cats. He attended the University of Washington and attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with an emphasis in teaching. He never thought of writing as a profession, until he compiled many pieces of poetry, which he thought, were of sound quality and quantity enough for a book. He had a very difficult time near the end of his high school years, which lasted nearly two and one half years. This rock-bottom phase of his life was due in part to the loss of a close, loved brother, separation of other close family members, abuse of alcohol and drugs and very little guidance for his future. He did do some writing during those years and attributes the writing process to a lot of his healing.
