NB: The Lincoln Library of Essential Information is a classic American, topically arranged single-volume abridged encyclopedia first published in 1924 by the Frontier Press Company. Named in honor of Abraham Lincoln to celebrate his legacy of self-education, the work was specifically designed as an up-to-date manual for daily reference, self-instruction, and general culture. The encyclopedia followed a unique organizational strategy, functioning essentially as twelve distinct books amalgamated into one comprehensive reference tool. Main subject sections are: The English Language; Literature; History; Geography and Travel; Science; Mathematics; Economics and Useful Arts; Government and Politics; Fine Arts; Education; Biography; and Miscellany. Head and heel of the spine mildly worn, corners rubbed and worn, exterior of the hinges worn, but hinges strong, text block unmarked, tight, clean, and square.
