About the Author:

Alan Sultan is a professor of mathematics at Queens College of the City University of New York. He is also a recipient of the Queens College Presidential Teaching Award, as well the Key Club Award for Excellence in Teaching. His greatest joy is trying to get people to enjoy applied mathematics as much as he does by making it accessible to a wider audience.
