In der 20. Auflage sind neben mehreren kleinen Verbesserungen vor allem im 7. Kapitel die Abschnitte �ber Tensorprodukte und multilineare Algebra neu bearbeitet und ausf�hrlicher, denn diese Teile bereiten erfahrungsgem�� bei der ersten Lekt�re besondere Schwierigkeiten. Sie sind aber wichtig etwa in der Integrationstheorie zum Verst�ndnis der algebraischen Hintergr�nde.

Gerd Fischer war viele Jahre Professor f�r Mathematik an der Universit�t D�sseldorf und ist jetzt als Honorarprofessor an der TU M�nchen t�tig. Er ist Autor zahlreicher erfolgreicher Lehrb�cher.

Boris Springborn ist Professor f�r Mathematik an der TU Berlin und wurde dort mit dem Preis f�r vorbildliche Lehre ausgezeichnet.
