Subjects of the linoleum block prints include a pair of corsairs, a cowboy with a gun ("my first block print done with a sharp penknife"), an Indian, Abraham Lincoln, a bear, a mallard ("attempt to get water effect") and many others with interesting comments by the artist. 7 x 5 inches. Original owner's name and address stamp on verso of the final leaf; some minor marginal chipping to the delicate paper. A typed note signed by the original purchaser including his stamped name and address, reads" All notes in artist's own hand. Stitched in booklet form in 1931 by Virgil Finlay.the first "bound" collection of his work!".
