The Lion's Path: A Gideon Wolf Paranormal Shape Shifter Thriller

Some of the world’s most powerful people want Dr. Gideon Wolf dead.

Once a respected archaeologist, Wolf now finds himself on the run after recovering one of seven mythical, magical amulets hidden millennia ago by the ancients to help humanity confront and defeat an encroaching future doom.

Now that threat is here. Governments, the cartels, and even a shadowy team of assassins—all bent on tyrannical global enslavement through technology and violence—are hunting him. They want Wolf’s head—and the power of the scientist’s medallion for themselves.

Gideon is just the first of the new so-called Guardians of the Innocent. Before he can stop those bent on his death and destruction, and save humanity in the process, he must first find and assemble a team of six others, long ago preordained for these roles and for this fight.

Crisscrossing the globe, Gideon has already found Vero, whose medallion and power are bestowed by the ancient goddess Artemis, and they’re now in Africa to find the next hidden medallion—and whichever modern-day Guardian has been chosen to wield its ancient, terrifying power.

But Gideon and Vero have never fought a war against African smugglers, human traffickers, and warlords. Whether they pass this, the first big test of their strength as a supernatural fighting force for good, could determine whether mankind lives or dies.

USA Today best-selling author Ernest Dempsey returns with the fourth gripping installment of his fan-favorite Gideon Wolf series. With Dempsey’s signature blend of history, myth, and suspense, readers can expect the fate of the Guardians to be as shocking as humanity’s destiny.
